The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) announced the award of the contract for the combined administration of Part A and Part B Medicare fee-for-service claims to Palmetto GBA.

Beginning 8/4/08 Palmetto GBA EDI will assume full responsibility for Jurisdiction 1 customers (California, Hawaii, Nevada, American Samoa, Guam and the Northern Marianna Islands) in a phased in implementation.
