Recent California Medical Association (CMA) governance changes will impact our Medical Society at the county and delegation levels. The new changes increase the opportunity for SBCMS members to participate in the resolution process for CMA's Annual House of Delegates (HOD).
Based on CMA’s Year Round Resolution Process, resolutions can be authored by any member but must be submitted by a District II Delegate or Alternate Delegate on a quarterly basis. Guidelines for submitting resolutions can be viewed here. District II is comprised of Inyo-Mono, Riverside, and San Bernardino component medical societies.
Following each quarterly resolution deadline date, county society members and Delegation members will be allowed a 30-day online “testimony” period.
Final reports and comments from CMA’s Councils and Subcommittees will be posted; followed by a second 30-day online “comment” period. At the end of the second comment period, the final report will be forwarded to the Board of Trustees (BOT) for final decision.
For further questions, please contact District II staff: Alison Elsner, email@example.com, or Jenise Solorio, firstname.lastname@example.org.
