School Nurse Physician Collaborative
In 2005, the San Bernardino County Medical Society, the San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools, and Inland Empire Health Plan (IEHP) formed a School Nurse Physician Collaborative (SNPC). This dynamic collaborative has provided an opportunity for local pediatricians and school district nurses to work together for the health and safety of school children in San Bernardino County. The SNPC meets three times each year. Meetings are held in the conference room at Inland Empire Health Plan (IEHP), 303 E. Vanderbilt Way, San Bernardino. The SNPC provides educational lectures and provides continuing medical education credits.

Much has been accomplished by the participating school nurses and pediatricians. School health forms have been developed for a variety of topics related to medication and procedures which provide consistency across all districts within San Bernardino County.
