E.H.R. Resource Center
San Bernardino County Medical Society, Riverside County Medical Association, and Inland Empire Health Plan have formed a Local Extension Center - Inland Empire EHR Resource Center (IEEHRC). Their mission is to help Priority Primary Care Providers (PPCPs) adopt and use Electronic Health Records and support those already using an EHR. Our goal is to maximize Return on Investment (ROI) and assist PPCPs in attaining meaningful use to qualify for the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act payments of $44,000-$64,000 per provider.
Funding comes from California Health Information Partnership and Service Organization (CalHIPSO.org), a federally-designated regional extension center (REC). The monies will be used for direct service to physicians and are exclusive of the federally funded EHR incentives payments for providers.
PPCPs, Medical Groups and IPAs will be assisted through all steps of EHR adoption from education to assessment, assistance with vendor selection, group purchasing discounts, project planning, workflow redesign, customization, infrastructure, interfaces and assistance with meaningful use reporting.
