Below is an overview of programs and activities.
Healthy Lifestyles Award Program encourages school children in grades K-6, to learn about and develop healthy lifestyles, involving good nutrition, regular exercise, proper hygiene and awareness of the dangers of smoking, alcohol and drugs. We also invite you to download CMA Foundation's 5-2-1-0 fact sheet on eating healthy and being active.
Elementary teachers are invited to submit a contest entry that captures their efforts to integrate health instruction in their classrooms. Cash prizes of $300 are given to winning classes along with certificates of recognition. Submission of entries due in March. Sponsors are Inland Wellness Information Network, San Bernardino County Medical Society and its Alliance. Live & Then Give (LTG), is designed to improve health and save lives by making more donated organs and tissues available in the Inland Empire. LTG is a collaborative partner of the Southern California Donate Life Network (SCDLN). A major role of LTG is to promote the state's online organ registry. Register to become a donor and get the facts at Donate Life California (www.donatelifecalifornia.org).
