Cal Med Physicians and Surgeons Welcomes Newest Physician - Matthew Whealon, MD



Recently, Cal Med Physicians and Surgeons welcomed its newest physician, Matthew Whealon, MD, a colorectal and general surgeon. They feel very fortunate to have Dr. Whealon as part of their group; as he comes to them with very high recommendations and will help to alleviate a severe shortage of colorectal surgeons currently working in the greater Inland Empire area.  Read announcmen letter HERE.

Dr. Whealon can accept referrals to see patients in Cal Med’s new, state-of-the-art ambulatory surgery center and medical offices, at 1281 W. C St. in Colton, just north of Interstate 10 and in proximity to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center.

Dr. Whealon, a native of Southern California, completed his Colorectal Surgery Fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania and General Surgery Residency at the University of California, Irvine.

During his fellowship, Dr. Whealon learned and honed minimally invasive and robotic surgical approaches to the treatment of colorectal diseases.
