Letter to Providers by SBDPH Public Health Officer on Monoclonal Antibody Treatments

Dear Healthcare Provider:

San Bernardino County Department of Public Health is receiving allocations of monoclonal antibody therapies, REGEN-COV and Bamlanivimab/Etesevimab, to distribute to providers.

It is important to note that both treatments have been shown to be highly effective against SARS-CoV-2 and the Delta Variant.  Most importantly, both have been approved for use in treating mild to moderate COVID-19 disease AND to provide post-exposure prophylaxis (both EUA-approved for both indications). Additionally, REGEN-COV has been approved for subcutaneous administration, if IV access is not feasible.

In order to assist San Bernardino County identify an appropriate weekly allocation for your facility, providers are being asked to complete their requests at the following link every Wednesday by 5 p.m.: https://bit.ly/sbcmarequests.  Providers receiving REGEN-COV and/or Bamlanivimab/Etesevimab will also be required to submit a weekly COVID-19 therapeutics utilization report to the Department of Health and Human Services every Wednesday by 11:59 PM ET.  The submission of these utilization reports will determine future allocations of monoclonal antibody therapies to the county.  The portal used to submit your weekly utilization report will depend on your facility type, so please visit the following link for further guidance: https://www.phe.gov/emergency/events/COVID19/investigation-MCM/Pages/COVID19-therapeutics-teletracking.aspx.

You will be contacted on the logistics of pick-up and delivery of treatments after requests have been received.  Please allow 24-48 hours to process your request.
