$350 million will be distributed to physicians and patients whose payments for out-of-network services were based on skewed data from the insurer's UCR database. Physicians who have requested reports of the Covered Out-of-Network Services and Supplies they provided from Jan. 1, 2002 to May 28, 2010 have begun receiving these reports from the Settlement Claims Administrator. Bill Protecting Kids' Access to Vaccines Clears Senate Committee

Assembly Bill 2093, authored by Assemblymember Manuel Perez, D-Coachella, and co-sponsored by the California Medical Association, protects insured families from having to pay out-of-pocket expenses for vaccinations and requires doctors to be fully reimbursed for the costs of providing the vaccinations.
