Executive Notes
All New Medical Resource Directory
By Linda Stratton
I
am pleased to announce that in February members of the San Bernardino County
Medical Society will receive their 2001 membership directory. This year’s
directory has been expanded from a pictorial directory of SBCMS members,
to a Medical Resource Directory for San Bernardino County that includes all
physicians in the county.
The 2001 Medical Resource Directory contains important information on over 2,200 physicians. SBCMS physician members are listed alphabetically in the pictorial section as well as in a special section by specialty and city. The member section also lists our medical student, resident, and retired members.
A pictorial section identifies SBCMS’ officers, members of the board of directors, the AMA and CMA delegation, the SBCMS Alliance, and the SBCMS staff. Past presidents, our medical museum and library, and the Medical Society’s web site are also featured.
New to the directory this year is a non-member section. Physicians who are not members of the Medical Society are listed alphabetically (without photos) toward the back of the directory. The non-member list includes name, specialty, address, telephone and fax number.
Our Medical Resource Directory includes Inland Empire physician groups, networks, health plans and hospitals. It also has an extensive community resource section providing name, address and telephone numbers of subsidiary and allied health-related organizations, county, state and federal government agencies and our legislators.
Medical Society active members receive one copy of the directory at no charge. Members may purchase additional copies at $25. The resource directory is sold for $55. Directory sales provide SBCMS with non-dues revenue.
The San Bernardino County Medical Society is dedicated to producing a quality directory. I feel that Lucy Garcia, Directory Editor, and her assistant Jenise Solorio have done an outstanding job in developing a medical resource directory that will be helpful to our members as well as to hospitals and others who purchase it. Every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of the publication. We welcome suggestions from you on how we can make future directories more helpful to your needs.
