Robert A. Stewart, MD

1926-2000

The Medical Society was recently notified that Robert A. Stewart, M.D. died August 29, 2000. Dr. Stewart was a member of SBCMS for 29 years.

Dr. Stewart was a pathologist with the San Bernardino County General Hospital. A native of Detroit, Michigan, he served in the U.S. Navy in 1946-47. After completing his tour of duty, he attended medical school at Wayne State University where he received his medical degree in 1953. He took his internship at Wayne County General Hospital in Eloise, Michigan, a pathology residency at Wayne State University. He practiced for a number of years in Ohio and Kentucky, and completed a completed a postgraduate fellowship in pulmonary pathology from Yale University in 1967. He joined the San Bernardino County General Hospital in 1971. Dr. Stewart retired in 1993.

 

Change of Status

The Medical Society Board of Directors approved a request from Harnam Tulsi, M.D. for a 65+ discounted dues status of membership.
