NOMINATING COMMITTEE REPORT
JANUARY 13, 2003


The Nominating Committee met on January 13, 2003 at 6 p.m. Members in attendance were: Doctors Jay Shankar, Dev Gnanadev, Ronald Bangasser, Samuel Wilson, Jeannette Benjamin, Edward Hess, Michael Sequeira, Burton Briggs, Frank Randolph, Ruchir Sehra, Mohan Mallam, Robert Rentschler, and Executive Director Linda Stratton. The following represents the actions of the committee:

NOMINATION OF OFFICERS:
(One-Year Term, 2003-2004)
President: Samuel Wilson, MD
President-Elect: Edward Hess, MD
Vice President: Dennis Flynn, MD
Secretary: Manmohan Nayyar, MD
Treasurer: Ruchir Sehra, MD
Past President: Frank Randolph, M.D.


NOMINATION FOR THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS:

(Two-Year Terms, 2003-2005)

District 1: Mohan, Mallam, MD, two-year term (2003-2005), replacing Manmohan Nayyar, MD who moved to Secretary.

District 2: Philip Carney, MD, two-year term (2003-2005), replacing himself.

District 3: Andre Blaylock, MD, two-year term (2003-2005), replacing himself.

District 4: Clifford Walters, MD, two-year term (2003-2005), replacing Ruchir Sehra MD, who moved to Treasurer.

District 5: Joseph Dotan MD, two-year term (2003-2005), replacing Dennis Flynn, MD who moved to Vice President.

At Large: Rodney Borger, MD, two-year term (2003-2005), replacing Clifford Walters, MD who moved to the District 4 board seat.


NOMINATIONS FOR REPRESENTATIVES TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

(One Year Term, 2003-2004)

Young Physician Representative:
Eric Frykman, MD, one-year term (2003-2004) replacing himself.

House Officer Representative:
Kaiser Permanente will provide the name of the house officer who will serve a one year term (2003-2004) replacing David Michelson, MD from Loma Linda University Medical Center.

Student Representative:
Shelley A. Caltharp, Loma Linda University School of Medicine, one year term (2003-2004) replacing herself.

Public Health Officer:
Thomas J. Prendergast, Jr., MD, one-year term (2003-2004), replacing himself.

Ex-Officio Emeritus
Gebre Gobezie, MD, one-year term (2003-20034, replacing himself.


NOMINATIONS FOR CMA DELEGATES

(Three year term, 2002-2005)

District 4: Clifford Walters, MD, three-year term (2003-2006), replacing Rodney Willard, MD.

At Large: Peggy Fritzsche, MD, three-year term (2003-2006), replacing herself.


NOMINATIONS FOR CMA ALTERNATE DELEGATES

District 1: Damodara Rajasekhar, MD, one-year term (2003-2004), replacing Manmohan Nayyar, MD.

District 4: Alvin Chang, MD, two-year term (2003-2005), replacing Lisa Perry-Gilkes, MD who moved to Atlanta, Georgia.

District 3: Albert Arteaga, three-year term (2003-2006), replacing Jonathan Horstmann, MD who declined reappointment.

District 4: Fred Soeprono, MD, one-year term (2003-2004), filling the unexpired term of Antonio Robles, MD who resigned from the medical society.

District 5: Stephen Peterson, MD, three-year term (2003-2006), replacing Cherry Brandstater, MD who declined reappointment.

YPS Delegate: Rodney Borger, MD to fill the YPS Delegate seat for 2003-2004.

YPS Alternate: Eric Frykman, MD to fill the YPS Alternate Delegate seat for 2003-2004.

Solo/Small Group Delegate: Jeannette Benjamin, MD to continue serving as the Solo/Small Group Delegate.
