CHA to host webinar on cancer surgery volumes and patient outcomes

The California Hospital Association (CHA) is hosting a webinar to unveil new research on how a hospital’s volume of cancer surgeries impacts patient outcomes. California Cancer Registry publishes materials to help inform patients about cancer reporting

The California Cancer Registry (CCR) has published free materials to help physicians  better inform patients about the registry and cancer reporting. A patient information brochure and poster are now available to physicians to distribute to cancer patients at the time of their diagnosis. November is Lung Cancer Awareness Month, a time to bring more awareness to the disease. Senate passes six bills to help fight impact of tobacco use

Six bills aimed at reducing the harmful impacts of tobacco use has passed the California Senate with overwhelming support. The 2015 Western Health Care Leadership Academy, to be held May 29-31, will feature special guest speaker Siddhartha Mukherjee, M.D., Pulitzer Prize winning author of The Emperor of All Maladies.
